Didactum`s Door Contact Sensor is designed for monitoring the security of your doors and windows. With the highly reliable Didactum network enabled monitoring system and the door contact sensor in place you will be alerted immediately when a door or window has been breached.  This also ensures piece of mind that all of your windows and doors within your infrastructure are closed during the evenings and on weekends.

Easy installation of Didactum`s door contact switch

The installation of this magnetic door switch is easy. Simply mount this sensor on your door or window. The required screws and double-sided mounting tape are included with this Didactum sensor package.

After you have mounted the door contact switch simply connect the magnetic door switch sensor via the included patch cable to the SNMP enabled Didactum remote alarm system. With the built-in Didactum auto-sensing feature, this door switch is automatically detected by Didactum main unit.

In multilingual web fronted of Didactum monitoring device you can easily set the desired type of alert or notification (E-Mail / SMS / SNMP traps). All events (door opened / closed) are stored in integrated syslog.

• Installation Using patch-cable RJ-12 sensor is connected to an analog input of any system unit. Determination of sensor’s type and connection occur automatically. One of devices in the kit, for example, magnet, is mounted on a door; the second device is mounted on a jamb of a door. At opening a door contact is disconnected, and system of monitoring receives notification on opening. The first sensor is connected using patch-cable RJ-12 to an analog input of the system unit, the consequent sensor is connected via patch-cable RJ-12 to an output of the first sensor and so on.
